API Documentation

Getting Started

In order to make a successful API call your request will require the following:

• The API base URL: http://www.1984jobs.com/api/
• A valid API key, passed via query string(e.g. ?key=c60c45c146cad1e1cafb259c3 ). You can request this by filling out this form.
• The method to call passed as a parameter (e.g. method=jobs.list).
• *Optional: The response format either JSON or serialized PHP. Set via a query string variable (e.g. ?format=serialized or ?format=json). JSON is the default.
• This a REST API, only GET requests are accepted.

jobs.list

• Returns a list off current jobs.
• Request URL: http://www.1984jobs.com/api/?key=c60c45c146cad1e1cafb259c3&method=jobs.list

• Optional Parameter: max (e.g. max=10). Specifies the maximum number of results. The default max is 10.

jobs.companies

• Returns a list of companies offering jobs.
• Request URL: http://www.1984jobs.com/api/?key=c60c45c146cad1e1cafb259c3&method=jobs.companies
• Response:

jobs.search

• Searches the job listings based on a parameter.
• Request URL: http://www.1984jobs.com/api/?key=c60c45c146cad1e1cafb259c3&method=jobs.search
• Required Parameters: search (e.g. search=iphone+developer). The item to search for.
• Response:

• Optional Parameter: filter (e.g. filter=employer). You have three choices: employer, title (job title) and description (job description). If filter is not specified it will search all.
